About Gus
Driving to the airport after picking up Gus with him screaming and howling in the background, I called Scott and said, “What have we done?” Despite his behavior on the trip to his “forever home,” we bonded with Gus instantly and knew he would always be honest with us about how he was feeling. Gus is exceptional and excels at everything he does. He has a strong drive and shows great aptitude for obedience and fondness for agility. Gus is a handsome dog with a definite sense of self; he is intelligent, discerning, loyal, and, like many of his siblings, funny. Gus’s greatest attribute, however, is his kind and loving spirit. He shows great affection and concern for the members of his immediate and extended family. And true to our first impression of him, we always know how he is feeling; most of the time, it is excitement for whatever we are doing and joy that we are doing it together!
