The Royal Order of the Phoenix Feather
About the Royal Order
Welcome to the Royal Order of the Feather. They are so named because they originally came as Maria's pets so that she could learn to herd ducks and Maria has been known from puppy-hood as Her Tiny Royal Highness (HtRH). The ducks are currently a flock of six. Four are Swedish ducks and two are Campbells. They live in our back yard and have been a lot of fun to have around. They're definately little characters. The Order was hatched in the spring of 2004 and we hope to brood some new little order members soon for all the friends we've turned on to duck herding.

Tinctures
- Or (Yellow or Gold): Generosity
- Argent (White or Silver): Peace and sincerity
- Sable (Black): Constancy, sometimes grief
- Azure (Blue): Loyalty and truth
- Sanguine (Dark Red): Not hasty in battle
Charges
- House Snail: Deliberation and perseverance
- Feathers: Willing obedience and serenity
- Duck: A man of many resources
- Crown: Royal or seigniorial authority
- Phoenix: Resurrection
